Frequently asked questions

Explore products, adoption and data use.

What can AI help with in industrial operations?

Start with a specific task such as energy anomalies, equipment maintenance or quality traceability. Use site data and specialist calculations to support decisions and follow-up. These methods draw on the team's previous industrial projects; suitable existing systems can remain in use.

Self-service diagnosis is not open yet.

I don't yet know what would help at my site. Where can I start?

You do not need to choose products or judge whether your data is ready. The self-service diagnosis we are developing will examine the systems and records you authorize, suggest operating opportunities, and explain what is possible and what is missing.

Self-service diagnosis is not open yet.

Could the software I already have be enough?

It could. If existing functions or configuration solve the problem, keep using them. Our self-service diagnosis will check those capabilities first and explain what an addition would contribute only where there is a clear gap.

Self-service diagnosis is not open yet.

I don't know what my data can support. Who works that out?

Self-service diagnosis will check the scope, meaning, timestamps, units and completeness of records against the needs of a specific analysis. Facts that records cannot establish, such as meter condition or equipment identity, will be listed for someone familiar with the site to confirm.

Self-service diagnosis is not open yet.

How will self-service diagnosis start, and what access will it need?

The diagnosis Agent will run on a computer or server you control and read only selected files or authorized interfaces. Before starting, you will see the equipment, fields, time range and reading limits. This does not grant permission to change systems or control equipment.

Self-service diagnosis is not open yet.

What will I receive after diagnosis?

A report explaining operating opportunities, existing conditions and next steps. It will show the evidence, reusable capabilities, missing conditions, options and costs. It may also recommend using an existing function first or adding no new product.

Self-service diagnosis is not open yet.

Will diagnosis send production data to Be Water?

It will not upload production data to Be Water automatically. Offline mode will process exported files on your computer; customer-environment mode will connect only to authorized data sources and models. You separately choose what to share for reports or remote support.

Self-service diagnosis is not open yet.

What will an external AI receive? Can I choose not to use it?

You can choose not to use external AI. If you select an external model, you will first see the provider, endpoint, processing region, actual content to be sent, purpose and retention arrangements. Nothing outside the authorized scope will be sent.

Must I hand over recipes, processes or proprietary models?

Connecting does not mean handing over recipes or model files. Use restricted data views, interfaces or models running in your environment where these meet the task. If files or parameters are needed, agree their purpose, access and licence. Connection does not transfer your rights or authorize general model training.

Do I have to replace my existing systems?

A complete replacement is not required. Suitable equipment connections, historical records, models and workflows can stay. Add only the interfaces, calculations or runtime services the selected work needs; the integration plan will identify what stays and what is added.

How do Industrial Platform, specialist applications and AI Workforce fit together?

Industrial Platform supplies industrial data, specialist calculations and application runtime services. Specialist applications perform specific analyses; AI Workforce calls tools, organizes tasks and follows up. The platform can be adopted on its own, Be Water applications require their supporting platform services, and AI Workforce is optional.

Do I need AI Workforce just to use specialist analysis?

No. Specialist applications and their required platform services can deliver results to people or existing processes. Consider AI Workforce when you also want AI to call tools, organize tasks and keep following up.

Can we connect our own professional models or AI?

iDOS already has APIs and an SDK for objects, data and specialist models, with a foundation for calling between these and higher-level AI tools. These interfaces can support your existing models or AI; the adoption plan will specify supported scope, runtime conditions and licences.

Does AI only advise, or can it act on its own?

People can handle results, AI can follow up with confirmation at key steps, or work can run automatically within granted permissions. Adoption defines operating conditions, stopping points and exception handovers. Site diagnosis is read-only and does not grant equipment control.

Self-service diagnosis is not open yet.

How will I know what supports a report's conclusions?

The report will identify the records used, the calculations and which conclusions still need site confirmation. If evidence is insufficient, it will explain what cannot yet be determined and which records or checks would allow progress.

What can a new factory or energy site do before it has operating data?

Review equipment lists, system interfaces, metering, roles and handovers to prepare and rehearse the tasks needed after commissioning. Once real operating data is available, check analytical results and actual improvements.

We already monitor solar or storage assets. What could be added?

Monitoring helps reveal equipment status and alarms. Specialist analysis explains output differences, operating limits and maintenance evidence, then helps organize follow-up. First check whether existing monitoring already does this before deciding what to add.

What can we reuse across multiple sites?

Suitable interfaces, equipment mappings, model configurations, checks and handover materials can become the next site's starting point. Each site still checks its own equipment, conditions and permissions, while site teams and delivery partners do less work from scratch.

How can an equipment manufacturer add these capabilities to its products?

Start with integration on the existing equipment platform, then deliver software and specialist applications with the equipment. The partnership plan will explain costs and responsibilities for initial integration, each installation, licences, continuing support and maintenance across equipment batches.

Who handles faults, model changes and unfinished tasks after adoption?

The plan will identify who handles software issues, site faults and matters needing specialist judgement. The AI task product will retain progress, waiting reasons and handover information so unfinished work can be picked up. Interface and model changes will also be checked for their effect on current work.

How can we establish whether adoption really improves results?

Set a comparable baseline against current practice, then check whether recommendations were used, what actions occurred and how results changed. Include integration, ongoing operation and necessary human effort to judge whether the improvement is worth keeping at your site.

What will a quotation include, and which fees recur?

It will list initial integration and configuration, platform operation, specialist applications, optional AI Workforce, and necessary site or expert services. Each item explains what it includes and whether it is one-off or recurring. Estimates will also state their assumptions and missing information.

Can I buy, download or install these products now?

iDOS and related applications have a history of industrial projects. For a specific project, we will explain available versions, adaptation and delivery support. Be Water's next-generation products, complete AI task products, self-service diagnosis and automatic quotations are still being developed. The website AI assistant is available now.

What happens to my data and models if I stop using the products?

You can stop further reading and calls, export the agreed configurations, reports and records, and check how copies are handled. Your data and models remain under your control; Be Water and partner models and software follow their licences. Data already sent follows the recipient's retention and deletion arrangements.

How can experts and developers contribute, and who owns the models and revenue?

Work together on professional models, applications, integration or delivery services. Agree what you contribute, the rights you retain, permitted use, maintenance and remuneration before starting. Usage records can be checked by both sides.

How can research, teaching or industry organizations work with Be Water?

Teach around real operating questions, evaluate an application together or develop professional materials. Agree the audience, intended results, attribution, licences, later use and site-support responsibilities.

What industrial experience can I review?

Team members previously worked on steel-industry energy scheduling, multi-site operations and quality traceability at earlier organizations. The cases explain the problems, methods and results at the time, helping you judge which experience is relevant to your site.

Do I need to submit sensitive information to learn more?

No. Read the work examples or ask the website AI assistant. If you wish to discuss further, prepare a brief on the contact page and decide whether to send it yourself. Site diagnosis uses a separate installation and authorization process; a website question does not open access to site data.
